Here are some of the great projects that we have created.
magic mill make-over
Renovation work at the Old Mill Holiday Cottages in Marldon had left the garden a little worse for wear so we set to work creating a new seating area, fencing and lawn. New rustic log steps provide access and the natural stone already onsite was put to use as edging to the freshly stocked flower beds.
crazy creation
This overgrown hotchpotch of paving required drastic action. All of the materials we’re taken up and rearranged into something far more attractive and useable. The crazy paving was given extra sparkle with the addition of coloured glass and crystals set into the mortar.
terrific terracing
A large, steeply sloping flower bed is challenging for planting, maintenance and soil retention so terracing offers the ideal solution. The three drystone walls built from local stone are both practical and extremely attractive. Constructed in gentle curves reflecting the natural landscape, the stone will contrast beautifully with the planting.
more than just a new back gate
This garden was over-looked by the village playground and the privacy of the decking area was compromised. Also, poor access via the rear of the property meant climbing over a section of the wall. The addition of attractive, round-top trellis with matching gate combined with improved passage and repairs to the dry-stone wall meant that the garden was restored to a place where its owners could once more sit and relax undisturbed.
colourful corner
This unfinished corner of the garden, next to the main entrance gate, was designed to match other retaining walls of the property. Due to be planted with more camellias it will make a fantastic first impression for visitors.
shapely sleepers
This large installation, some 14m long, makes quite an impact as you look back up the garden. Its curvy āSā shape retains a large bank containing established exotic trees and shrubs and surrounds the main area of lawn. The random stepping of the sleepers provide visual interest while gently undulating to reflect the terrain.
